Saving The Environment. Destroying Disability Barriers.

Why do I need to securely shred my documents, can’t I just throw them away?
Each year nearly 9 million Americans are victimized by identify fraud resulting in $50billion in damages. Gone For Good protects your employees and your clients by keeping their information safe, secure, and confidential.

Do I need shredding services if I already have recycling service?
Yes, absolutely. While recycling services reduce the amount of paper waste going into landfills, it does not protect the information within the documents before they are recycled. Gone For Good guards your confidential documents and the information within them all the way from your office until they are shredded to an unreadable pulp and ultimately recycled into new paper products.

How secure are my documents with Gone For Good?
Gone For Good is one of the most secure shredding and destruction companies, meeting or exceeding industry standards. Gone For Good assures that all shreds are secure and confidential, from point of pick up to the final destruction process:

  • Gone For Good complies with all federal privacy laws such as FACTA, HIPAA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and we are AAA certified by the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID).
  • Secure bins are delivered to your location that will remain locked until they reach the Gone For Good checkpoint located in our state of the art destruction and storage facility. The lock will only be opened when under surveillance.
  • The entire shredding process is under surveillance to ensure the most secure shred possible.
  • Your documents are shredded to 5/16th of an inch wide, so fine it is impossible to reconstruct.

Does Gone For Good offer a certificate to ensure a secure shredding process?
Yes, Gone For Good provides affidavits documenting the destruction of your confidential documents and electronic waste.

What happens to my documents and waste once it is shredded?
After Gone For Good shreds your documents into an unreadable fluff, the remains are securely transferred to a paper mill where they are reprocessed for other purposes, such as recycled household paper items.  None of the shredded paper ends up in a landfill, overseas, or used as pet bedding.

We shred our documents in-house. Why should we outsource our shredding?
Outsourcing your shredding is a terrific way to cut costs because it frees up your employees for more profitable business pursuits. Gone For Good’s facility can shred two tons of paper in one hour; our large capacity allows us to be very cost-effective. Installation of an in-office shredder can be expensive, and the machine itself can be noisy and distracting for other employees.

We store our records. Why should we shred them?
Once a document is no longer useful, it becomes a liability. By shredding it, you eliminate any possibility that it will be accessed unlawfully. Additionally, privacy legislation may require your business to destroy documents after a certain period of time. A Gone For Good specialist can help you design a storage and shredding schedule that will keep your company in compliance with state and federal laws.
